$16.00 per 30 minute lesson

15 weeks x $16.00 = $240 for the semester

Lessons can be paid for at the beginning of each semester, or the beginning of each month. Semester payments should be submitted by the first lesson. Monthly payments should be completed by the first week of each month.

A fee of $10.00 will be added for any late payments.

Students will also be responsible for purchasing their own lesson and theory books from the teacher, as well as a notebook for the teacher to write down notes from the lesson.

Lesson and theory books will not cost more than $20.00 a year.

Practice expectations will vary with each student. Each week the teacher and student will decide what the practice expectations are, depending on their goals and skill level. In general, beginning students should try to practice 15 minutes for four days a week. As their skills progress, more practice is recommended.

Each student responds differently to the idea of playing in front of others. I love to see students share their music with others at least once a semester. It is my goal to offer different types of performance opportunities so that the student and I can decide what would be the best fit for them.

This semester, I will be offering group classes on the first Saturday of each month. This will give students the opportunity to meet other pianists and to share their music with each other in a low stress environment. Along with these classes, there will be a studio recital at the end of each semester.

You have contracted for your particular lesson slot by agreeing to take piano lessons. If you cannot make it to your lesson during the week, it is your responsibility to see if you can find a replacement. A printed schedule will be given to each student at the beginning of the semester with student’s contact information. If you have contacted three students and are still unable to find a time that works for you, contact me to see if I have another time slot available that will work for you. I, as the teacher, however, am not inclined to reschedule. If you know you are going to miss a lesson, don’t wait until the last minute to reschedule and be sure to contact me about your plans. Any missed lessons that are not made up will be paid for by the student.

If you are sick, try to find someone to trade with you. If this does not work, we will find another time slot to do

a make up lesson.

If I ever have to miss a lesson due to sickness (or any other emergencies), you will receive credit towards your next payment or a makeup lesson.

If school is canceled due to weather, I will be canceling lessons as well. You will either receive credit towards your next payment or a makeup lesson.

If a student decides to discontinue lessons for the semester, they must notify me two weeks in advance. The student can decide whether or not they would like to attend those lessons but they must be paid for.

I am looking forward to beginning this piano journey with you!

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
